Some interesting historical notes….
The Fawkes family were early settlers in the Carmel Valley and completed their substantial, brick and tile homestead c.1919.
The house is a perfect example of the Federation style with characteristic tall chimneys, Marseilles tiles and a traditional veranda with gables and turned timber work.
Within, original ceiling roses and cornices, polished jarrah floors and decoration true to the period complete the picture.
Originally a tennis court c.1920, the lawn now hosts enjoyable games of croquet and boules.
